Research On Integrated Product Development And Application In Photovoltaic Manufacturing Industry

As the most promising alternative energy industry, PV industry has been developing rapidly in recent years. More and more attention and investment from countries and corporations has been paid in PV manufacturing industry. This also challenges the ability of product and technology development, which is taken as the core competitiveness of a company.The emphases of development of PV manufacturing industry, which is the core of PV industry, is turning from technology development to product development. But the product development of PV manufacturing industry is just starting, with the state of disorder, follow-like-sheep and uncertainty, and has the complexity of regional and cooperation. So, it is very important to improve management of product development and found high-effective product developing progress to reduce developing time & cost.As an advanced product development philosophy, Integrated Product Development (IPD) model has been widely applied in many fields such as communications and IT, and has achieved great success of product development in famous companies such as IBM and Huawei these years.This article studied IPD model and the characteristic of products and technology development in PV field, and proposed the moves of using IPD model in PV manufacturing. The method and moves proposed in this article will have some reference value for the PV manufacture.
