The ore terminals take the advantage of situation flourished. At this time, if the ore terminals development environment can't be reasonable evaluated, it is difficult to meet the ship-ping requirements of a new port, and the port hard to complete the transformation suc-cessfully, and the port also difficult to maintain the high level of competition in the world. What is worse, all of these factors above may result in unnecessary waste and irreparable loss. Therefore, it is a necessary requirement to research the iron ore termi-nal development environments, which benefits to develop China's market economy, change the world shipping structural and update the new port functional concept.Evaluation of iron ore terminal development environment is to establish a set of evaluation system, which is fit for its charactero According this evaluation system analysis and evaluate the development environment. This helps the decision makers to understand the development of iron ore terminal, give him or her a clear view to see the weakness and know its own position. What help take effective measures to enhance the development and its competitiveness, resulting in higher economic and social benefits.This thesis analyzes the development trend of iron ore terminal, predicts the quan-tities of China's demand for iron ore in the next five years and the iron ore terminal throughput of Qingdao port. The thesis using the SOWT method analyses the advan-tages, disadvantages, the opportunities and threats faced by Qingdao iron ore terminal. Based on the SWOT analysis and referencing to the index system, this thesis builds a set of evaluation system for the development environment of Qingdao iron ore terminal. After these, this thesis uses AHP method to determine the weight of each index. And then establishes a grey comprehensive evaluation model. Next apply the Qingdao iron ore terminal development environment to this model and analyze the result of the eval-uation. Finally, summary the work of environment assessment to end the full thesis. |
