Container plays a major role in modern transportation, many countries in the world are using container to transport between each other. With the development of container transportation in recent years, container vessels have a trend of fast-growing; it brings both challenges and opportunities to container port. Since the number of vessel-load container is increasing, if port can not improve process efficiency, it would prolong the vessel's lingering time, so it can not embody the advantages of large scale and high speed of container port, its competency will drop, it can not attract vessels to reach so as to lose of economic interest. Yet, the work efficiency of container port is mostly determined by the efficiency of container loading and unloading process, improving the efficiency of loading and unloading can improve the work efficiency of port.The loading and uploading process of container terminal needs the coordinating of quay crane, yard crane and trailer, to work simultaneously. At present, most of container ports are using conversional style of bundling type work, this type of work assigns fixed machines for each work line, machines work with work plan. This type of working lack of flexibility, and the usage rate of machines is not high, this has become a bottleneck for the container terminal to improve work efficiency.This paper analyzed the work process of loading and unloading work in container terminal, citing mobile agent technology, using advantages of mobile agent such as saving network bandwidth, avoiding network postpone, supportting asynchronously running while off-line, to design a new model of agent based container loading and unloading process, illustrated the work process of new model. Finally, this paper researched some key issues in the model, and put forward solution.The model designed in this paper can make machines lose bundle by implementing acquiring work commands dynamically, improved the on-site flexibility and machine usage rate, so as to achieve the object of increasing loading and unloading efficiency.
