| As China's international degree deepening, China's tourism industry is facing an urgent need to upgrade. Obviously the convergence of China's tourism industry is one of the major entry points to achieve its transformation and upgrading.The domestic and oversea research on tourism industry convergence is just starting, there is no complete theoretical system established. This paper is based on tourism industry convergence. At first, I revealed the importance of tourism industry convergence in the context of China's tourism industry facing an urgent need to upgrade. Then, based on industrial convergence theory, I analyzed the internal mechanism and external driven factors of tourism industry convergence. From the aspect of internal mechanism, tourism industry convergence is mainly driven by characteristics of tourism. And its external driven factors include technological innovation, competition and cooperative behavior of companies and government's deregulation. Furthermore, I depicted the implementation mechanism and protection mechanism of tourism industry convergence. I considered tourism industry convergence as a dissecting and reconstructing progress of industry value chain. And its protection mechanism includes policy and system. Then, according to the practice of China's tourism industry convergence, I summed up four models of tourism industry convergence, they're technology penetration, resource sharing, market co-developing and function appertaining. And I put forward three approaches and steps of tourism industry convergence. Besides, I also explored the absence and roles of government in the development of tourism industry convergence. Finally, I selected Hangzhou's MICE tourism as a case of function appertaining model to study, I summed up the operating mechanism, approaches, products model and protection mechanism of Hangzhou's MICE tourism., and I put forward relevant related measures that should be enforced to promote development of Hangzhou's MICE tourism. |
