With China's rapid economy and society development, the person who study and work abroad returned to motherland continually, and they were given a special name "returnee". Among them, the returned knowledge workers have become strategic human capital to our country. Therefore, the study on repatriate adjustment of returned knowledge workers has important theoretical and practical significance. This paper hold the view that cross-cultural training should be served as an important strategy to promote returnees' repatriate adjustment, and study it on theoretical and practical aspects.Firstly, we review the literature on repatriate adjustment, including culture shock, repatriate pressure and repatriate adjustment, and get the conclusion that repatriate adjustment is an inherent cross-cultural phenomenon. In the context of Chinese culture, we should pay attention to the study on repatriate adjustment of Chinese returned knowledge workers, which can enhance their work performance after they returned.Furthermore, we summarize the effectiveness of cross-cultural training, cross-cultural training content, methods and models, and we find that Studies suggest that cross-cultural training can reduce the reverse cultural shock effectively. A systematic and scientific cross-cultural training program is valuable for business and government on returnee management.Finally, based on the training demand analysis of 218 returned knowledge workers in Shanghai, and combined with cross-cultural training theory, we designed a program of "Cross-cultural Training Programs for Shanghai returned knowledge workers", which is a preliminary exploration on the cross-cultural training practice of returned knowledge workers, and then give some suggestions on cross-cultural training for returned knowledge workers.The innovation of this study are:(1) Based on the theory analysis, we discussed the significance of cross-cultural training for returned knowledge workers; (2) Put an research on the repatriate adjustment cross cultural training and give some valuable suggestions on this.
