The foundation and carrier of MICE industry is the convention center. Along with the rapid development of the MICE industry, the convention center has also attached great importance, which even can use the''great leap forward" words to describe. According to statistics, the investment of convention center construction in China is more than 40 billion RMB each year. However, contrast with the sharp growth of the exhibition area, the total income of pavilion is in a slow growth. Since 2001, the annual decline is more than 25%. One is the blind construction of the convention center, On the other hand is the low occupancy and win rate. This kind of contradictory situation not only caused the waste of the resources, but also the fierce competition between convention centers, which will also caused some obstacles to the good development of China's MICE industry.So, what kind of convention center is needed in the modern MICE industry? What type of professional facilities and services do the convention centers should have? How about the facilities and services for the international famous convention centers? What is the expectation and requirement of the participators in the MICE industry? In order to solve these questions, this paper selects Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC) as a case study, in full literature review and theoretical research foundation, from the perspective of exhibitors, propose the factors for convention center's facilities and services, and using the IPA analytic, making comments to the supporting facilities and service of SNIEC. According to the qualitative and quantitative analysis results, the thesis gives optimization proposals to SNIEC from both the macroscopic and microscopic aspects.The composition of this study is six chapters; the first chapter is the introduction; the second chapter is the concept definition and theoretical discussion for the exhibition facilities and services;the third part is the analysis of the domestic and international large-scale exhibition facilities and services; the fourth part is the empirical research for SNIEC; the fifth part is the evaluation for the facilities and services of SNIEC; the sixth part is some development strategies to speed up SINEC.
