The research on employee engagement dated back to 1990s and was oriented in Western organizations and institutes. In the past twenty years, the global commercial environment has been changing rapidly, so has the enterprise's demand and need. At first, companies offered good salary, bonus and working environment in order to make their employees work harder, nowadays companies want to keep employees loyalty and to make them achieve the companies' goal with full heart.Researches on Chinese employee engagement started on 2005. Low engagement of Chinese employees attracts attention of the whole society. This research is to study the employee engagement of Chinese real estate agents by quantitative approach and to see if there are other factors which may be correlated with employee engagement.Founded on the review of previous researches, this paper identifies what should be talked about, proposes the hypothesis, constructs the theoretical model and designs the questionnaire.We use Chinese real estate agents as sample to analyze the relationship of self-efficacy, job characters, organizational management, turnover intention, job performance, and employee engagement.Finally, the major findings of the dissertation are as follows:1 Self-efficacy is significantly positively correlated with employee engagement.2 Working characters is correlated with employee engagement.3 Organizational management are correlated with employee engagement.4 Employee engagement is significantly negatively correlated with turnover intention.5 Employee engagement is significantly positively correlated with job performance.6 Employee engagement moderator the relationship between the self-efficacy of work and job performance; Employee engagement mediates the relationship between the self-efficacy of work and job performance.
