These unique characteristics make reservoir tourism be in full flourish.On the basis of finding out the situation of reservoirs tourism development, the thesis makes an appraisal of each reservoir developing potential, according to 8 indexes such as water quality, geographic conditions, the surface area, tourism resource abundance. In conclusion, among the 28 reservoirs which have been developed, the Three Gorges reservoir, the river rocks reservoir and Danjiangkou reservoir have great potential for development. Reservoir tourism market in Hubei has bright future.At the process of reservoir tourism development, there are a series of problems such as similar theme of Reservoirs tourism products, serious homogenization, vicious competition for tourist market, lack of tourism planning, blind development; water quality degradation, environmental destruction. For these problems, the thesis puts forward strategies for the development of reservoirs in Hubei. It should focus on the development of reservoir eco-tourism, recreational tourism and reservoir agricultural tourism.Based on the investigation of reservoir tourism resources developed, the thesis makes a study on regional integration of reservoir tourism in Hubei. According to the regional topographic features, similarity of resources and Socio-economic development situation of each region, the reservoirs for tourism development can be divided into six regions in order to avoid duplication and establish the general image of reservoir tourism, achieving the rapid, sustained and healthy development of the reservoir tourism industry.
