The 21st century is an age of knowledge.Knowledge has already become the resource to innovate technology and create wealth. Intellectual property rights as an effective instrument to compete are increasingly valued in the global economy integration. With technology innovation constantly emerging and competition intensified, patent belonging to the category of Intellectual property rights comes into view of enterprises in our country quickly. Enterprises begin to answer from the viewpoint of strategy the question:How to take advantage of patent to innovate technology and to promote competence of a corporation? Patent strategic management has already been enhanced and paid attention to in western countries,especially in the enterprises of U.S.A and Germany. The effects of patent strategic management also show its greater vitality and it becomes the mainspring of development in enterprises. The successful experience of patent strategic management of western enterprises provides us much useful enlightenment and reference. Facing the keener and keener competition in the market, enterprises in our country must free our minds from the shackles of the outdated notions and abandon the old practice. Based on self reality, our enterprises should introduce advanced patent strategic management idea to manage all patents efficiently for the enterprise.The paper presents the idea and methods of intellectual property rights strategic management. On the basis of the above studying, this paper analyzes the state of patent management of H corporation.(as an example)and find out what the causes are.. Facing against the current problems in H corporation, this article has proposed a plan on patent management in future for H corporation under the guidance of the theory of Intellectual property rights strategic management, combining with the reality at present in H corporation and referring to successful practice of foreign enterprises. This paper not only has a positive theoretical and practical function to set up an Intellectual property rights strategic management system for H corporation but also has the reference sense and practical significance for Tech-oriented enterprises using patent technique as major competitive factor.
