Research On The Formation Mechanisms Of Negative Effects Of Network Organization Based On The View Of Embeddedness

As a new form of organization, the network organization (NO) has been attracted important attention in academic area for its synergy effects. However, not all NOs have the ability to form synergy effects natively. Negative effects of NO have been ignored for a long period, but they appear constantly in practice and even lead to degenerations or failures of NOs. Now, the studies of NO's negative effects are behind the need of economic development, especially the lack of studying the formation mechanisms of negative effects of NOs, so this paper does the research mainly for the formation mechanisms based on the embeddedness theory.Based on the analysis of NOs theory and embeddedness theory, this paper mainly uses ways of literature analysis and logical deduction by reasoning, and applies the methodologies which are survey and comparative study. Through survey, this paper explores five influence factors related to embeddedness and analyzes them in details, which lay the foundation for building the theoretical model of the formation mechanisms of NO's negative effects. By the comparative study of negative effects of Detroit automobile industrial clusters in America and Changchun automobile industrial clusters in China, this research works out the characteristics of Chinese NO's negative effects.By the view of embeddedness, this paper does this research in two aspects which are member firms'negative effects and NO's ones, puts forward five embeddedness influence factors, as well as ways of formation and influence mechanisms, and builds the theoretical model of the formation mechanisms of NO's negative effects. Besides, through the comparative study of the two NOs at home and abroad, characteristics of Chinese NOs'negative effects have been summarized and avoiding measures are explored from the perspective of moderate embeddedness.In theory, the conclusions of this paper promote academicians'attention to negative effects of NOs in a degree, pave the way to deep research for the future, and offer a new approach to study NOs from the perspective of embeddedness. In practice, these conclusions may support network cooperation among firms, offer decision references to governments, and have great significance for the healthy development of Chinese NOs and the distinct promotion of governance performance.
