Since the reform and opening up, the annual growth of dairy production, cow iving, cow average yield T and dairy per captia of our county are respectively 12.94%,11.55%,1.54%å'Œ3.46%. By the end of 2009, the national dairy production is 28.05 kg, living cow are 126.03 million, cow average yield is 4744kg, and dairy per captia is 28.05kg. However, a lot of problems accompanied the rapid development, such as Melamine Event, Row Milk Race, Reconstituted Milk and so forth. There are many factors for this phenomenon, but that row milk production is in arge demand is the main reason. Row milk production is the basic step of dairy production chain and the bottleneck of the dairy industry development. Row milk competition is also one of the focus of dairy industry competition.Production efficiency of row milk, which is closely related to the production node of row milk, is an important index to reflect dairy industry development. This (?)aper, choosing comparative analysis of efficiency of row milk production mode aking Hohhot as an example as title, first classify the existing row milk production node of our country;then based on the research data in stochastic frontier analysis nethod estimates economic, technique and distribution efficiency of the row milk iroduction mode mentioned above;and using Tobit regression model analyze the three factors affecting the efficiency of row milk production. The results show that the Pasture is enjoying the highest efficiency, and Cows Community is in the middle, while the Individual Peasants are suffering from the lowest efficiency. As far as the organization forms are concerned, the efficiency of Partnership is the highest, Corporate Enterprise the next, Self-employed the lowest when the output is measured in terms of the milk quantity. The efficiency of Corporate Enterprise is the highest, Partnership the next and Self-employed the lowest when the output is measured in terms of the milk value (including both quantity and price). Tobit model suggests as follows:the milk quantity being the measurement, the efficiency of Individual Peasants is significantly lower, while the efficiency of Pasture is insignificantly higher than that of Cows Community. The efficiency of both Self-employed and Partnership is significantly higher than that of Corporate Enterprise. However, as the milk quality intergraded into the measurement, the efficiency of Self-employed and Partnership is significantly lower than that of the Corporate Enterprise and the efficiency of Self-employed is the lowest. The characteristics of the household head, the features of the peasant family or enterprise, and the structure of forage influence the efficiency of raw milk production too.Finally, the policy suggestions are forward.
