Research On Export Of Labor Service And Trade

With the deepening of economic globalization and regional economic integration, our country has integrated into the global economic system and achieved remarkable success. Especially since the reform and opening-up, both China's labor export and export trade have achieved rapid development. According to statistics, by the end of 2007, the number of labor export increases from 63 thousand to 979 thousand and export trade rises from 9.75 billion to 1218 billion. As the most populous country in the world and trade development power, China's labor export and export trade attracted more and more attention from the scholars.In the backdrop of the flow of factors and trade liberalization, this paper chooses China's foreign labor export and export trade as the research object. We present the situation of labor export to give an overview and then analyze the relationship between labor export and export trade with the method of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. On the one hand, we find that labor export will drive China's export trade through the effect of preference and information of labor senders. Moreover, export trade also needs labor export since certain human auxiliary is necessary. On the other hand, we use the gravity model and the method of granger causality test respectively to analysis the relationship between the labor export and export trade. The empirical results show that our country's labor export has a positive effect on trade export and export trade also has a positive role in driving labor export.In view of complementary relationship between labor export and export trade, this article puts forward relative policy suggestions which aim to expand labor export from the perspective of export trade. At the moment, China's export trade is facing several problems like trade structure imbalance, over-centralized export market and low value-added products export. Therefore, this paper suggests that we should further expand our export trade from the perspective of optimizing trade structure and transforming foreign trade growth mode so as to further drive the labor export.
