Analysis On The Effects Of Export Trade Friction

After entering WTO, the exports of Zhejiang Province encounter increasing trade frictions, along with the great extension of outward economy of Zhejiang Province. So the research of the effects of export trade friction bears great theoretical and realistic significance. This paper uses Anti-Dumping, Anti-Subsidy, Safeguard Measures and Special Safeguard Measures, Textile Special Safeguard Measures as representation to study trade friction.Firstly, the paper summarizes the characteristics of the trade frictions in the aspects of the quantities, the amount of money involved in the cases, the forms, the trade structure, and the initiated states of the trade frictions of Zhejiang Province, and analyzes the external and internal reasons on the trade frictions. The external reason includes the economic conflicts in international trade and the rapid development of China's economy. The internal reason includes the defects of the foreign trade structure and trade system of Zhejiang Province. Secondly, the paper gives theoretical analysis on the effects of trade friction. In the end, the paper gives empirical analysis of the effects of the quantities and the amount of money involved in the cases of the trade frictions to the export scale, the export market structure, and the export trade structure with the data of Zhejiang Province from the year 2002 to 2008, and gives economic explains to the empirical results. Through the theoretical and empirical analysis in this paper, we can gain the conclusion that there was a positive correlation between trade friction and export scale, and trade friction imposed significant influence in the improvement of export market structure, and imposed little influence in the improvement of export trade structure. Thus the paper proposes suggestions as follows:Government departments should imply the strategy of balanced trade, reduce trade surplus; enterprises should imply the strategy of profit maximization and market diversification, and increase foreign investment,; an early warning mechanism mainly operated by the trade associations should be established.
