| The key to "Three Issues concerning Agriculture" is the issue of farmer, and the key problem is to increase their income. Only raising the living standard of most farmers , can our country be stronger, people live a better live, and the rural economy be more healthy.Based on data of investigation on 70 households in Etuoke County for 6 years from 2004 to 2009, the paper study the living standard of herdsman who are in Etuoke County from different angles through engel coefficient, Gini coefficient, income, expenditure and other indicators. In addition, the paper obtained the comprehensive evaluation model of herders's living standards in Etuoke County by factor analysis method. The characteristics of living standard of herdsman in Etuoke County are: the income difference among herdsman is significant, per capita net income is instability, revenue structure is single, household production business model is initially formed: the basis is primary industry, and secondary and tertiary industry are the development direction, survival of living expenses maintain a certain level, non-survival of living expenses increase greatly, Savings,to grow out of nothing, is gradually increasing, education and medical insurance is gradually improving.Comprehensive evaluation model indicate that herders's living standards in Etuoke county is effected with living conditions first and followed by consumption and education. According to the living standard of herdsman in Etuoke County and the results of factor analysis evaluation, suggestions and comments that about raising the living standard are given. Such as: increase the infrastructure in pastoral areas, improve the pastoral medical system and education system, encourage low-income households increase revenue to narrow the gap through various channels, develop the first industry and put it as the solid backing of stable income, increase the herders'professional skills training, increase investment in public goods to improve the consumption status of herdsman. |
