| In recent years, people paid much attention to the evaluation of the value of ecosystem services. Grassland is the largest terrestrial ecosystem in our country, which plays an irreplaceable and important role in regulating the climate, water conservation, conservation of both moisture and soil, waste disposal, maintaining biodiversity, recreation and entertainment, etc. However, since the impact of some natural and human factors for a long time caused a series of ecological problems, such as the attenuation of living resources, the degradation of ecosystem services, etc. Therefore, evaluating the economic value of the ecosystem services of grassland has great significance to make rational decisions for ecological protection regionally and economic decisions for developing. At the same time, it also provides a scientific basis for reasonable pricing of grassland and effective compensation.The subject of this paper is the grassland of Xilin Gol, which is one of the four world-famous good grasslands and an important green barrier in northern China. The type of ecological environment in this region is unique and the region has the largest nature reserve with both grassland and meadow ecosystem, which occupies an important position in conservation of biological diversity on grassland. Because grassland ecosystem services have the characteristics of public goods and economic externality, the contingent valuation method (CVM) can be used to turn the value of ecosystem services into the maximum willingness to pay (WTP) and ultimately determine the value of ecosystem services. Therefore, this paper used CVM to evaluate the economic value of grassland ecosystem services of Xilin Gol. Through questionnaire survey, we conducted sampling surveys among the residents in Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia and China in turn to obtain WTP, socio-economic characteristics and other basic information of every respondent. After using the Logit model to analyze the factors which may affect residents'willingness to pay in Xilin Gol League, the following points can be concluded:(1)The total economic value of grassland ecosystem services of Xilin Gol is 116.926 billion yuan per year, and it is about 433.06 yuan per mu and per year.(2)The age of respondents, the nation of respondents, the degree of concern on the grassland ecological protection and construction, the understanding level of the grassland ecological compensation and thinking the majority of residents should pay for grassland ecosystem services or not, these five factors, have a significant impact on the willingness to pay. |
