Yangtze River Delta which is the eastern growth pole in China lies in the junction of Yangtze River Economy Belt and Coastal Economy Belt. At present, it is facing industrial upgrading and change with large-scale in competition and cooperation. With the conception of "Pan-Yangtze River Delta" proposed, the industrial transfer in Yangtze River Delta is further expanded and the regional gradients are more obvious. Therefore, the research on industrial gradient transfer of the whole Yangtze River Delta has become a vast and complex project. In the past, most scholars focused upon Hu-Ning-Hang economic belt, while some significant cities such as Suzhou and Nantong were always neglected.This paper selects three typical areas within Yangtze River Delta——Shanghai, Suzhou and Nantong (both north and south sides of the Yangtze River and three gradients involved) to build the Hu-Su-Tong triangle as the miniature of Yangtze River Delta for the first time. Then with the self-developed statistics software based on MFC, firstly, calculation of the gradient coefficients of 29 industrial industries in nine years is done; secondly, with the results above the patterns and trends during the gradient process are analyzed; at last, recommendations of industrial optimization and three key points during the process of industrial gradient transfer are given in the hope of providing reference to the development of the triangle and even the whole Yangtze River Delta.
