Research On Risk Management Of Software Project

Comparing with other projects, software project is more systematic, more complex and has higher requirement for technology. Software project's result is embodied more often in technical achievements marked by abstract information. Furthermore, the standard of technological achievements is not fixed. Especially with the rapid development of software industry, the software project is on a larger scale and more complex; accordingly, it's becoming more and more difficult to control the the project risk accompanied. Therefore, in addition to software technology, risk management of software projects has become another key to success of software projects. And risk management is increasingly becoming an urgent need for systematic and standardized management of projects. Only through systematic and scientific risk management, can the uncertainty of unknown results of software projects be reduced, the damage caused to the project resulting from such uncertainty be predicted in advance and avoided, and the goal of software projects be ensured to realize smoothly.How to analyze the risk factors of software projects, evade risks effectively, and achieve the project sucessfully is one of the main subjects of software risk management. In this paper, based on analyzing the current situation of the research on software project risk management, the problems existing in the risk management research on software projects are briefly summarized. Through analyzing the risks in software development process by combining the charactirstics of software projects, the particularity of such risks is revealed. In addition, by elaborating the relationship between risk management and software project management, the significance and effect of risk management in software projects is strengthened systematically, which also extends to how to solve the problems in the risk management of software projects. Through the above-mentioned comparison, integration and analysis, a sofrware project risk management model, which could manage the risk actively and wholly based on the practicality of the project, is gradully set up. Finally, the risk management model and its effective application in practice are demostrated through specific examples of software project management.
