Enhancing Quality of Life (QOL) is an explicit or implicit goal for individuals, communities, nations, and the world. With the development of economic, more and more attention has also been paid to how to improve quality of life.Quality of life is a complex and multi-dimensional concept. Constructing a research system with objective indicators of quality of life and identifying the factors which reflect or restrict our residents'quality of life. Proposing suggestion to improve quality of life of residents has great significance to promote sustainable regional economic development.This paper studies the quality of life based on the results of theory and research at home and abroad. We establish an objective evaluation model of quality of life that bases on social environment, economic environment and ecological environment, and analyze the data of 287 cities nationwide using structural equation model in 2009. The model not only shows the direct and indirect reflects between the various factors, but also reflects the mathematical relationships between them. The result reflects economic environment is the most important factor, and social environmental factors have greater influence on the quality of life the environmental factors in current economic.Finally, the paper ranges the indicators of the cities and proposes suggestions to improve the quality of life of residents in the proposal, and points out the direction and prospects for future research based on the quantitative relationship between factors in structural equation model.
