The Study On The Contributions Of Foreign Trade To Shanxi Economic Development

As a resource and energy province,Shanxi has long been the country's energy base,and made significant contributions to the national economic construction, also strongly supported the development of local economy.But long time's unconsciously explosion,not only caused severe environmental pollution, but also made the industrial structure is not rational,seriously hindered the development of shanxi economy transformation. Since the reform and opening up, the foreign trade in Shanxi Province is developing fast, and has made certain contributions to the economic construction.Especially Shanxi Province become the country's largest synthetically reform testing in 2010, provided a good environment for the development of foreign trade.Therefore, how to use foreign trade to promote the development of Shanxi economy transformationin becomes our new important issue for this time.About this issue, many scholars at home or abroad have carried out extensive research, and the conclusion they drew is mostly positive, and meanwhile they proposed many worthy policy suggestions on how to promote economic growth in Shanxi Province. One of their common characteristic is that they advocated foreign trade. On the one hand, their research only stayed on qualitative analysis, not from the quantitative analysis; on the other, most research only stayed on how to promote economic growth, what they emphasize is "quantity" growth, and no further research into the contributions that the foreign trade made to the economic development. In low carbon economy period, we should not only emphasize "quantity" growth, but should pay more attention to the "quality".This paper aims to emphasize the foreign trade's contributions to industrial structure optimization and the employment promotion.In this paper, on the basis of theoretical study by large amounts of data and empirical research, analyses the contributions of foreign trade made to Shanxi economy development.First of all, analyses the status of the foreign trade and economic development in Shanxi Province,then use the regression analysis, integration analysis measurement analysis method, in examining the contributions that the foreign trade was made to the economic growth in Shanxi Province, moreover for the foreign trade development situation and characteristics in Shanxi Province, at last, puts forward some suggestions on the development of foreign trade in Shanxi Province.
