| In recent years, with the accelerating of reform and opening up, the vegetable industry in China kept the balance between aggregate supply and demand basically, and some species are even oversupplied. However, compared with the vegetable industry in some developed markets,such as the United States, Canada, and the European Union, the international competitiveness of the vegetable industry in our country is weak relatively, especially in the aspects of breed quality, cost, export, and pesticide residues control. Therefore, it has great realistic significance to study the international competitiveness of the vegetable industry in China. Firstly, based on the theory of international competitiveness of industry, this paper elaborates the definition, characteristics and evaluation methods of the international competitiveness of industry. Secondly, according to the status quo of Chinese vegetable industry, this paper analyses some factors of influencing the international competitiveness of Chinese vegetable industry in detail, and gives a synthesis evaluation about the international competitiveness of Chinese vegetable industry with a set of evaluation index system, including the international market share index, trade competitiveness index, revealed comparative advantage index, and fixed market enough share. Finally, this paper proposes the countermeasures from multi-profile to improve the international competitiveness of Chinese vegetable industry.There are two main innovation points in this paper. In the first place, this paper combines influential factors of international competitiveness of the vegetable industry with the current situation of the vegetable industry in China, and gives deep analysis on them. In the next place, this paper constructs evaluation index system of the international competitiveness, which includes the absolute and relative indicators, and collects the latest statistics data to evaluate the international competitiveness of Chinese vegetable industry synthetically. |
