A Research On Information Differentiation Based On Contemporary Chinese Society

As an objective social phenomenon, information differentiation not only means the gap in the information haves and information contact chances among different people,but also means the gap keeps enlarging.First, information differentiation shows the divide in information technology,and then shows information rich and information poor,at last it expresses as a social differentiation. The information divide is a new social problem, there are many important theoretical and practical issues need further research, especially in a country with a population 1.3 billion--- China, we need to constantly improve the actual situation of the information divide issues.This paper includes five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction. It mainly discusses the subjects of the study and several related concepts, related literature review and the innovation of this paper, the meaning and the methods.ChapterⅡmainly discusses the Information differentiation in theory.:Why information becomes a new major favor of the dimension of social stratification, the relationship between information divide and social structural change,how information effects the dynamic mechanism of social differentiation, how information differentiation impatcs social structure.ChapterⅢhas collected in recent years, the Internet survey of government websites and some of the data, comparative studies, not only the information of the differentiation of contemporary Chinese society, we explore the information divide between regions, between urban and rural areas, between groups different levels of performance.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the reasons of information differentiation and measures from sociological perspective. On the one hand the inequalities from economic and societies, policy factors, individual factors, market factors are the sources of information differentiation;on the other hand, information differentiation will strengthen the differentiation between regions, between urban and rural areas, the differentiation between groups . It is necessary to pursure information fair, and then make some advice from these ascepts: handle relationship between government and market mechanisms, policy mechanisms, legislative oversight mechanisms, social and public service mechanism, the individual mechanisms.The fifth chapter makes a few conclusions, and points out the shortcoming of the research.
