Information technology has changed the operation model of enterprise. As it brought big progress, new problems are also come. Information Isolated Island is a typical representation. From original finance management system to ERP and E-business, as the progress of technology, Information Isolated Island is following everywhere, and no evidence it will disappear.This thesis has three parts. The first part contains chapter 2 and chapter 3. In this part I analyzed Information Isolated Island. I started with analyzing the form and harm of Information Isolated Island, and then uncovered that the essence of Information Isolated Island is Information System (IS), and the essence of Information Isolated Island problem is information communication obstacle between IS. Then I analyzed the technology and management factors that caused Information Isolated Island, and its technology component and management development stage. So I point out that Information Isolated Island can not be avoided completely at present, the right way to solve this question is reducing the harm of it within specifically time and scope.The second part is chapter 4,I expatiate on three important theory: Information spreading theory, BPR theory and standardization theory, then I educed the communication model between IS, and lead to the passive policy (combination and connection) and active policy (the standardization of IS) , that can deal with the problem of Information Isolated Island.The third part contain chapter 5 and chapter 6, I discussed the advantage and shortage of the popular methods that are used to solve the problem of Information Isolated Island. I point out that ERP is an effective way to remove original Information Isolated Island, and EAI, EIP, ERPII, EEM are doable, but have some specifically shortage. As a concrete enterprise, wide standardization of data, process, function, and application technology are effective and can avoid producing many Information Isolated Island. That is called Information Resource Planning (IRP).
