Senior management personnel is the core strength of the sustainable development of enterprises, to undertake the important responsibility of organizations, to achieve strategic goals, and determine the fate of the enterprise. The training and development of senior management personnel are the key points of Human Resource Development. McKinsey's "2005 Chinese Professional Managers Status and Development Report" said, that in the next 10 years, China will need 75,000 international quality managers, but only about 5,000 could be found domestically. So, training and bringing up a number of senior management personnel familiar with international rules and having a global perspective are important tasks for enterprises to withstand business risks and improve core competitiveness.This article analyzes the introduction of the German Volkswagen's "family types" and "jobs home group" theories, as well as the basic practices and achievements of IBM in the application of career planning and management based on the concepts, contents and basic theories of career development, career management and career development planning, domestically and internationally. In this article, the analysis of the effectiveness of research on career development planning, and the application of theory in multinational companies are also introduced. Utilizing the strategy of independent development needs of the FAW Group, the article gives a systematic explanation of the implementation of managerial level career development planning. While summarizing the methods and results, the article also poses six existing questions to the implementation process of senior manager career development planning. At the same time, the article carefully conducts an analysis of the management of higher level FAW career development planning. It also analyzes the management of design and development of ideas, control of the implementation links and the management tools used in modern career development planning. Further, it studies the integration of existing business operations FAW Group demand model and self-strategy, senior management of FAW-made career development cycle and judgments. It sums up the senior manager of career development's "E", "T", "L", "V", "I" (the five paths on the competency model), MBTI assessment center and modern management tools in human resource development and example authentication. In the end, in reviewing the management of senior manager career development planning, with management being an important part of human resources development of the FAW Group Corporation, we introduce the theory that senior management job development planning should match the various modules in the human resource management system, and gradually extended to all staff career development management to establish effective senior manager development planning safeguards.Based on the senior management personnel of state-owned enterprise career planning theories Show Romanization, further, this paper attempts to provide reference for career development thinking and some specific methods of operation for the practical planning of the career development of senior management personnel of state-owned enterprises.
