Complex Logistics (CL) is consisted of a number of manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers and retailers. Simulation has become an important tool for decision-making in CL, where the simulation efficiency is the important factor to be considered. With the (t, S) inventory control strategy and periodic inventory strategy, the number of simulation designs in CL is often large, so the total time cost of the simulation becomes very large when the accuracy of simulation needs high. Therefore, it is necessary to allocate simulation run time in all designs to reduce the total simulation time and improve simulation efficiency.Based on the complex logistics chains simulation optimization platform (CLCSim), this paper compares of the main simulation run allocation methods and proposed the complex logistics chains simulation optimization platform base on simulation run allocation (CLCSim-SRA). Then we describes the principle and process of the simulation run allocation with CLCSim-SRA, and discussed the design and implementation of the CLCSim-SRA simulation software based on the CLCSim simulation software. We give a detailed description of the algorithm process of generating adjustment designs, the Equal Allocation method (EA) and the Proportional To Variance method (PTV).A CL example with two manufacturers, two wholesalers and three retailers is taken by CLCSim-SRA simulation software to allocate simulation run time. The CL considered here adopts the periodic inventory strategy and has random demands. Through multiple sets of simulation experiments, we set the total cost of the unit customer needs in the simulation results as samples. We compare the impacts of different simulation run by the EA and the PTV. Then we determine a reasonable simulation runs of the two methods. Finally, we summarize the performance characteristics of the EA and the PTV in Complex Logistics.
