With large-scale construction of the steel logistics park, quantitative analysis, evaluation and optimization of the park planning design becomes the questions that we focus on. Normally, the covering size of the steel logistics park is large and more investment of construction funds it needs. It will avoid potential waste if we can avoid all sorts of design flaws in the design planning stage. System simulation technology was introduced into the optimization process of the steel logistics park's design plan; the paper studied the simulation modeling methods of the steel logistics park and its application in the optimization of the steel logistics park's design plan.First of all, the paper expounded the theoretical foundation of the modeling and simulation and then analyzed the key questions of the steel logistics park's simulation. It analyzed its process system and the inside work procedure. Then, it analyzed the internal traffic driving route.According to the two kinds of modeling ideas that the input and the output are mutual independence and interconnected, it analyzed their differences in modeling process. It discussed the key input and output parameters of the steel logistics park's simulation model.Then, this paper discussed the building process of the steel logistics park's model detailedly. It described the simulation problem, expounded the assumptions of the simulation model, and analyzed the internal structure of the simulation model. Then, it expounded the element-defined module, steel-inpark module, steel-loaded and steel-unloaded module, steel-outpark module, statistics data module, and further analyzed each module's internal process and the logic structure detailedly. Finally, the paper confirmed the model's reliability according to inspection method of the simulation model.Finally, taking a selection of the design programming of a steel logistics park as an example, the paper respectively set up two simulation models according to the two modeling ideas. Combined with the purpose of the simulation test, it designed simulation experiment scheme and set related parameters. Then the paper analyzed the test data detailedly, evaluated two design schemes comprehensively and gave the recommendations. Then it further explored the differences of simulation test data and the internal causes of the same design scheme in two kinds of modeling ideas.The steel logistics park simulation model established in WITNESS simulation platform has good practicability. The simulation model was built combined the first phase of a steel logistics park, and the various data flow is normal, and the result of simulation has higher reliability. By experimental analyzed, it is found that the second option is superior to the first option. Study in the thesis indicates that the simulation model which is built based on the modeling method the paper elaborated can be used for auxiliary decision of the optimization of the steel logistics park's design scheme.
