A Study On The Relationgship Between Agricultural Investment And International Trade Of Agricultural Products In China

Agricultural investment and agricultural international trade has a special significance to agricultural and rural development. However, it is not difficult to find out that most studies focus on the relationship between agricultural investment and rural economy, rarely involved in agricultural international trade when we are looking for the research about agricultural investment. At the same time, most research on the agricultural international trade is relevant with rural economy, too little attention to agricultural investment.The thesis takes the research background of agricultural investment and agricultural international trade. Review agricultural investment theory, foreign trade and economic relations theory, investment and economic growth theory systematically; Defines the basic category; Defining and interpreting theoretical connotation, measurement criteria of agricultural investment and agricultural international trade,the thesis reveals that agricultural investment promotes agricultural international trade through technological progress,structure upgrade and scale operation,and that agricultural international trade promotes the scale and structure of agricultural investment. By over viewing development process of agricultural investment and agricultural international trade in China, analyze the changes of agricultural investment and agricultural international trade; Test data of China from 1983 to 2008, by using quantitative analysis methods of Causality test and Granger causality test; The Results show that agricultural investment and agricultural international trade promote to each other; we find that financial support for agriculture and agricultural FDI promote to agricultural export trade but farmers investment and agricultural loans block it, and it is on the contrary between agricultural investment and agricultural import trade, when we research on between agricultural investment and agricultural export trade or agricultural import trade. Based on theoretical analysis and the empirical results, we know that theoretical and practical deviate from each other because of those factors (the unreasonable financial support of agriculture, farmers investment in small business, insufficient rural financial services support, the low actual utilization rate of agricultural FDI); According to factors, the study puts forward some suggestions in policy: strengthen the government's responsibility and obligation of agricultural investment and increase investment, improve the rural financial service and the total of agricultural loans, innovate agricultural investment system, increase investment of agricultural research, improve and optimize agriculture investment environment.
