Agricultural International Trade And Agricultural Growth In China

With the process of economy globalization, agricultural international trade is bound to bring opportunities and challenges for it's growth. So it is the aim of this research to study on problem of the relation between agriculture international trade and it's growth, then propose useful measures, base on the situation and realities of Chinese conditions.The paper is divided into six parts. Chapter 1 is general comment which mainly states the significance, background, purpose and methods of the research. Chapter2 is theoretical and literature review which retrospect relevant theories of this field home and abroad. Chapter3 is theoretical study of agriculture international trade and growth of agriculture. First the conception is defined. Then base on theoretical analysis, state the relations between agricultural growth and agricultural international trade from five aspects, agricultural economic growth, agricultural income, agricultural employment, financial support for agriculture and the agro-ecological environment. Chapter 4 is empirical study of agriculture international trade and growth of agriculture. In which five indicators including agricultural GDP, agricultural income, agricultural employment, financial support for agriculture and fertilizer application rate are selected as measures of the index system The methods of cointegration analysis, Granger causality and trade-environment model are used to find their relations. The conclusion is that the imp-export of agricultural products have a long-term and stable relationship with the indicators ,besides the one-way or two-way Granger causality exit, except the agricultural employment. Chapter 5 is the cause analysis. According to the above theoretical analysis on capter3 and empirical analysis on chapter 4, and analysis on the reality of Chinese agricultural development, the cause is found. Chapter 6 is policy recommendations. Give corresponding suggestions from behind three points, the sustainable development of agriculture, the sustainable development of rural community and the sustainable development of ecological environment.
