Study On The Spatial Structure Evolution & Allocation Of Guanzhong Urban Agglomeration

Since the occurrence of the urban agglomeration in 1950s, urban agglomeration areas have gradually been the pioneers of the regional economic development. Many scholars, decision-makers from the government home and aboard have attached a great importance to the urban agglomeration related theories. Urban agglomeration spatial structure is the fundamental theory of researching its spatial characteristic and evolution rules, while the spatial allocation modes are one of the important content to implement regional development. Therefore, it will exert the urban agglomeration's integrated economic advantage and upgrade its competence, accelerate the continual development of the regional economic as well to research the urban agglomeration's spatial structure evolution and its spatial allocation modes deeply.In this paper, the system dynamics method was used to study the spatial structure evolution process and spatial allocation modes of the Guanzhong urban agglomeration (GZUA) in Shaanxi province based on the regional spatial structure evolution and allocation related theory.First, the literature review was concluded, from which several typical spatial structure evolution theories and allocation modes were analyzed. Second, the GZUA was chosen as the empirical research region and historical analysis method was applied to study its spatial structure evolution process. On the basis of the fractal research of its spatial structure, the evolution characteristics were summarized. Meanwhile, the dynamic mechanisms of the evolution processes were discussed, also the judgment index system of the urban agglomeration's spatial structure evolution periods was established and the GZUA's spatial structure evolution period was estimated quantitatively. Thirdly, a VENSIM model of the spatial structure evolution of GZUA was built based on the system dynamics method. In another hand, the possible spatial allocation schemes of GZUA were proposed on the prerequisite of analyzing the spatial allocation hierarchies of GZUA. Through the above system dynamics model's simulation, the best spatial allocation scheme was obtained. Finally, the corresponding specific implementation suggestions were put forward according to this spatial allocation mode.
