It's pretty common that a company attaches much importance to personal performance but pays less attention to team performance. Thus it makes performance management much less efficient. How to strengthen team performance management so as to realize the aims and strategies of the company ? That's a big problem many companies encounter. This essay is attempting to explore the theory and practice in team performance management by means of some new designs of team performance management.This essay uses systematical thinking and is based on theory of team management, strategy management, performance management and human resource management. I consulted quite a few documents and researches and studied the case company thus gives a detailed analysis and research on the following points:1. After introducing the concept of team and team performance I analyze the characters of team and team performance, then in view of the deficiency of traditional performance management, I point out the goal and necessity of building a performance management model centered on team.2. According to the characters of team performance and with the help of performance management theory and model, I build a team performance management system. I mainly analyze the basis and performing process of team performance management, how to set the target system and evaluation standard as well as the evaluation of team performance.
