The mission of the corporate becomes more and more important in the development of the corporate, as there is fast growing interest on the mission of the corporate in China. But there's a lack of the research on the mission of the corporate in China, compared to the status of the mission and the attention that people has been paying to it. This has caused the "truth" that the mission can have positive effect on the corporate seems to be lack of theoretic support. Although a lot of corporate in China has had their own corporate missions, they do not understand the design method and specification of the missions. Some corporate even designed missions that did not suit them thus restrained the development of themselves. This dissertation collected missions for over two hundred corporate in China and overseas, summarized the effects of some strategic management research on corporate missions. The author used qualitative method to do statistical analysis on the design methods of corporate missions from the composing elements and judgment standards. Finally the author used statistical tools to categorize corporate missions, and find out the defining elements in the design methods of corporate missions to explain the practical meaning of the missions.The main contents of the dissertation are as follows:Through the research on the degree of the attention that multimedia are paying to the corporate missions, the author emphasized the contrast between the attention and the research on corporate missions, furthermore the author described the literature on corporate mission to illustrate the currents knowledge of the scholars and the common opinions of the general public on corporate missions.According to the specificities of research on corporate missions, the author proposed qualitative research methods, and explained the process of data collection, backgrounds on survey population, and further processing of the literature and data. The design frame of the survey was further elaborated.The author used statistical tools to find the best categorization for the corporate, and described in detail the specifications of the missions by combining the composition and judgment of different kinds of missions.
