However, while China's project constructions are of large-scale, the competition of construction market becomes more and more fierce due to overpopulation, rich labor, more and more enterprises, and rapid developments of construction. Moreover, after China joins in WTO, it must face the competitions in the same fields from overseas that possess advanced project management and abundant fund. Therefore, for China's enterprises, they get much more opportunity, but at the same time, they also need to undergo many challenges. Consequently, China's construction enterprises are getting into a significant period to deepen engineering project management comprehensively and enlarging the system reform in order to make sure of their developments and their places in the market competition. In this period, the author considers making project cost management is important.In recent years, the city subway and underground project in the project construction field possess larger market and attractive business prospect. The author, as a project manager at Worker's Gymnasium North Road Station of Beijing Subway No. 10 Line, is capable of applying previous management experience and the theoretic knowledge from MBA to the subway construction management.Beijing Subway No. 10 Line, length 26.2 kilometers, all underground, it is estimated that its total budget is 15.954 billion RMB. The project is started in the end of 2003, which is a key project of Beijing's key constructions, and it is required to be finished and utilized in 2008. The project, as one of Olympic projects, plays a major role for ameliorating heavy-traffic situation in Beijing.
