The performance management is core of human resource management system, while performance appraisal changes to performance management , following problems will be appeared : confusing the concept between performance management and performance appraisal, facing the process of the performance management, the oneness of the angle of the performance appraisal, the standard of performance appraisal is too misty, the process of performance appraisal have stronger subjective arbitrarily, etc.. How to resolve these problems is the most important for performance management.Primarily this thesis introduces what are performance appraisal and key performance index, the content and the effect of performance appraisal and key performance index. As overview of the performance theories, summarizing the concept of the key performance index in order to resolve the problems of performance appraisal is mainly forget. Briefly it includes describing and analyzing the condition of the key performance index in business enterprise. Primarily analyzing is how to design and make use of the key performance index. And then summarizing the model of design and make use of the key performance index is necessary.In corporation's human resource management realm, with the core link that human resource management ,and with the performance management for correspond to order, analyzing the applied circumstance of key performance index, to study more reasonable methods of design and operation for key performance index, is this thesis basic frame.Textual and basic conclusion is: Key performance index is the abstract and induce of the key success element of company and organization operation process, is the key index to measure the effect of corporation strategy.
