The Pulpwood Resource Acquisition Route Of Our Country

China's paper industry has obvious structural contradictions, which mainly caused by the too low proportion of wood pulp in fiber raw materials. At present, China is going to make the paper industry restructuring and the most important thing is to enhance the proportion of wood pulp in fiber raw materials. Under such background, The article reviewed the history of fiber raw materials' application in our paper industry at first, then established a measurement model of China's GDP and consumption of pulp to predict the demand for wood pulp in paper industry in the future period, and further to analyzed the current situation of our pulpwood (timber) resources. On the basis of analyzing the gap between pulpwood's supply and demand, this paper pointed out that our pulpwood resource acquisition route. As China's demand for pulpwood increased, the supply can not entirely rely on domestic resources, and neither too dependent on imported resources, so we must take a diversified resource acquisition strategy. Detailed speaking, On the one hand, we should vigorously develop our pulp forest and establish the circulating industrial system of papermaking raw materials; On the other hand, we should fully utilize the resources from other countries in the whole world and broaden the international supply channels. At last, The paper also gave some recommendations for the government from different pillars such as the building of paper forest base, the import trade of pulpwood and the use of waste paper and so on.
