Rangeland Preservation By De-Stockling In Snstainable Development Such As Hexigten Banner

The desertification area in the form of wide-spread location and rapid development has been the main environmental and social problems for the past nearly 50 years in the northern China.The desertization area has reached to 38.57×10~4km~2,which mainly lies in the crisscrossing between agricultural and livestock farming as well as half-drought agricultural area,the zone of oasis irrigation agriculture and desert co-existed on the north.This not only gives an sincere challenge on the ecosystem in the north of China,but also it badly effects the national development and the improvement of people's living standard.At the intersection between the old century and the new century,the Party central committee put forth the stragety of "The West China Grand Development".At the same time,ecosystemitic construction has been the basis mission of this development.A seris of state measures such as De-cultivation for forestland and grassland preservation ,No-shepherding,De-stocking for grassland preservation, have been made lately.This paper consides it as a study forcus that Hexigten Banner government has been making De-stocking Project.The main causes conclude:(一) Hexigten Banner lies in the crisscrossing between agricultural and livestock farming ,sourtheast Inner Mongolia Plateau,the scisscrossing zone between Hunshandak Sand and Korci Sand,and it lies on the south of the Weichang,Hebei Province.(二)this banner is a typical livestocking farming banner.The ever-desertizing land will enlarge the sand resource which runs...
