An Empirical Study On The Determinants Of Enterprise Informatization Development

With the extensive application of IT on enterprise management, enterprise informatization (EI) has become an important tool and effective approach for enterprises to enhance the management level, improve the economy benefit and heighten the competence. However, in the process of EI development, for the influence of many factors from inside or outside, the enforcement effect isn't salient and the probability of successful adoption is low. In order to resolve this problem, by the research on the determinants for EI development, it's redounded for enterprise to recognize and grasp the key of EI development from the numerous and complicated influencing factors, and then set down the EI application model and advance the EI in sequence according to the enterprise management characters and the EI actuality, development rules and developing tendency.Combining with the method of qualitative and quantitative analysis, this dissertation carries out a systematic research on the issue of EI development. Based on the analysis of the influencing factors of EI development, the authors develop a research model and then put forward the hypotheses. Based on the data of survey on the influencing factors of EI development in the east of Guangdong Province, the research model is tested. The results show that in all of the influencing factors, enterprise information technology investment and the leader's support are the determinant of EI development. Among these determinants, enterprise information technology investment has the most important affection on EI development. And leader's support is very important, too. While enterprise information need, manager character, and employee's information consciousness and the exterior environment of enterprise informaitization are less important than others.
