Market economy necessarily leads to competition. After years of cultivation and exploration, the insurance market of China has entered a severe competitive period, which presents the sharp increase of new market players, the quick innovation of management and the means of competition. Therefore, the market structure needs reorganization. According to the promises of the entrances of China to the WTO, after a transition of 5 years, the insurance market of China is opening to all the members of the WTO. As the coming of the most powerful foreign insurance companies, the battle of competition has been more and more intensive. How to win this insurance battle is the most important problem for the insurance companies of China.To be the winner, correct strategies are absolutely necessary for the companies. Applying the Competitive Strategies Theory of Michael Potter, this thesis gives some strategic plans to PICC Guangxi Branch in accordance with its battleground. To form a stable relationship between the company and the work group, these plans focus on Human-Orientated ideas. On the other hand, these plans also emphasize Development-Orientated ideas to get more benefits for PICC Guangxi Branch. In addition, using the "game theory", the thesis provides two operative plans for "elementary period" and "mature period" according to the market competition development. This thesis hopes to provide some advices and references for PICC Guangxi Branch to deal with the market competition.
