Modern tourism has become a more common pattern: Often the tourism destination depends on certain city (town). City (town) becomes the assembly of tourism attractions and city functions, it owns the double status: tourist function and traditional city functions. As the development of tourism industry, the improvement of the living conditions and the structural changes in life, people's tourism demand has increased and their conceptions about tourism are in changing. Such changes and artificial efforts make tourism an increasingly competitive. And it presents new challenges for traditional tourist cities such as Hang Zhou. Recent years, Hang Zhou has felt intense competition at tourism industrial. Face to the plight, it needs to seek ways to achieve sustainable development.Urban tourism spatial structure update comes into the adjustment of city tourism industrial structural and requirements of replacement of space conversion. Previous researchers have often focused on the tourists'demand to interpret the development of urban-type destination, and not from the development of tourism in their own internal mechanisms to study. In nature, the evolution of urban tourism special structure is a reflection of tourism activities in space. So, the evolution of urban tourism special structure is built on the space process of the tourism development process. A multi-directional, multi-element, multi-mission perspective on the urban tourism spatial structure will help us fully understand the evolution of the urban spatial structure, and it can provide the experience and lessons for the development of tourism in China.Based on the case study of Hang Zhou, this paper makes the measures of spatial optimization and provides advices for tourism development of Hang Zhou. We also hope to give some help to similar urban tourism destinations on development.
