After having developed for dozens of years in the developed countries, credit card business has formed relatively mature operation patterns, and offered a lot of experience and lessons that are quite worthwhile for us to learn from nowadays.China has made great progress in economy since Chinese government began to take the opening and reformation policy. The consumption ability of Chinese people has improved continually in the past years, and the communication and contacts with foreign countries have also increased more frequently than before. In consideration to the domestic economic level and population status, credit card business has great growth potential in China. Ever since the credit card industry was established in China, even though many domestic credit card agencies have accumulated some management skills and formed certain operation patterns, we have to say that these agencies have not achieved their desired targets after we have checked the development process of credit card business in China. There are still a lot of problems to be solved, for example, many agencies paid much attention to building their brands, but neglected credit card's function, the consumers were not led in the very correct way. Besides that, the price of credit card was set too high, and its product types were limited. In management, they just copied the traditional bank business pattern, while in spreading and promoting credit card business, they spent a huge amount of money in order to get big quantity of customers. As a result, the quality of credit card business was influenced quite negatively, and what the agencies got were just the low efficiency and low profit.In order to ensure credit card business to have a sustainable, sound and stable development in China, on the basis of drawing lessons and absorbing experience from the successful development of credit card business in the developed countries, and having analysis of the current problems in the field of credit card business according to the actual situation in China, in consideration to the credit card operation details of Commercial and Industrial Bank Jiangsu branch, and the general problems that occurred in many agencies, the dissertation states that the domestic credit card business should conform to international customs and proposes definitely the operation pattern based on credit card company and some effective marketing strategies. In detail, on the aspect of the organization system of credit card business, it brings forward clearly the strategy of credit card operation entity in the form of credit card company, and suggests a way of intensive and specialized management; on the aspect of putting credit card industry into practice, it suggests a way of agent company...
