The Present Situation And Development Countermeasures Of Sunflower Production In Inner Mongolia

Sunflower is an important oil crop in semi–arid area and arid areas of North China and North-West China. It is also a major vegetable oil source of the residents live in these areas. With the improvement of life level and market demand, the demand of the sunflower is increasing. Nowadays, sunflower is the fifth oil crop in China.As the key province district whose goal is to develop sunflower, Inner Mongolian welcomed the good opportunity of fast development of sunflower production since 2002. In particular through comprehensive agricultural development item construction in 2003 and 2004, the Inner Mongolian sunflower industry has obtained a quicker development. This article has conducted the analysis research to the domestic and foreign sunflower production first and then using the C-D production function model and the cost - income calculation method to find out the factors that affect the sunflower production of Inner Mongolia. According to the macro-economics environment of sunflower production of Inner Mongolia in the future, this paper put forward the policy suggestion as follows: raise the breeding research level of sunflower; enhance research on pest control and disease management; increase the investment on science and technology department; construct the standard production base; support the development of processing enterprises to play their leading roles; fasten circulating system construction.
