Knowledge management came into being when knowledge became the most important resource for enterprises and the world advanced towards knowledge management. Peter Drucker, a great master of management study, thinks that knowledge management is the second revolution for global business management. With the arrival of the 21th century, research and practice of knowledge management turned from macro-level to microworld and the academic circles, as well as the business circles began to explore how to conduct knowledge management in order to meet the challenge of its age. Knowledge management, as a strategic means for the sustained development of enterprises, has been carried out in the practice of enterprises. Effective management knowledge can help enterprises obtain and maintain competitive edge.This thesis mainly consists of the following parts: First, concept of knowledge management is expounded by summarizing theories and practice of it at home and abroad. Secondly, theoretical framework for knowledge management is built up and a theoretical system of effectiveness evaluation of knowledge management is also constructed by using the theory and the method of effectiveness evaluation in enterprises. In this part, a target system of effectiveness evaluation of knowledge management, which seems to be scientific, practical and effective, is established and the weight distribution of target system is defined. Thirdly, authentic proof analysis of Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd is made through fuzzy and comprehensive evaluation, which serves to verify the reasonableness and the feasibility of effectiveness evaluation of knowledge management.The final purpose of knowledge management is to maximize the profits of enterprises by way of managing its intellectual assets. This thesis aims to explore the effectiveness evaluation of knowledge management. It intends to offer a summary of relevant research in recent years; to emphasize, combination of theory and practice to build up a theoretical system of effectiveness evaluation of knowledge management and to develop research work in it.
