Historic city Zigong has been growing with the development of salt industry in almost two thousand years. Salt industry's prosperity shaped the unique style of the city, gave great motive force for city's development, for which Zi gong city was named"the salt capital".But, in recent years, with the salt resources being exhausted and market's shrinking, the city's development gradually has slowed down. On the contrary, it provides the great opportunity for promoting tourism business which plays important role in promoting the economic development, society flourishing and foreign exchange.Based on the cultural landscape theory, historic city protecting theory and tourism sustainable development theory, this thesis analyzes Zigong city's industrial heritage resources and puts forward the measures for developing the salt culture tourism in Zigong city so as to help the city apply for the world heritage and offer some experiences for other internal city's tourism development for reference.The thesis is composed of six chapters. To begin with, on the basis of summarizing the current situation of internal and external studies on industrial heritage and industrial heritage tourism, the author puts forward her understanding of industrial heritage's concept, features and significance. In the second part, the author introduces the theory of cultural landscape, the theory for protecting historic city and the theory of tourism sustainable development. In the third chapter, through doing some research on present situation of Zigong city's tourism development, author gives some problems encountered by Zigong city's tourism industry. In the forth chapter, the history of Zigong city's salt industry is divided into six periods. Employing the theories mentioned in the chapter two and comparing the map of Qing Dynasty with the present one, the author finds the salt industry had significant impact on city's structure. In the fifth chapter, the salt culture tourism resources are analyzed, which form the city's spirit and special culture atmosphere. At last, the author puts forward a integrated scheme for Zigong city's tourism development, including scenic spots, image design and so on.
