The Empirical Study On The Impact Of Strategic Flexibility And Manufacturing Flexibility To International Performance

Along with economy becoming more and more global, the competitive environments enterprises faced is becoming more and more complex; Enterprises faced with fierce turbulent environments. Only they establish the strategic flexible system that can effectively reduce the environment threat, response quickly and uses exterior opportunity positively under such turbulent environments to be able to gain the competitive advantage.Many scholars start to pay attentions on the theories of strategic flexibility and manufacturing flexibility, as well as the studies on the relationships between the flexibility and performance. Under this background, the paper depended on"Study on successful factors of Chinese industrial enterprises which enter the international market after WTO"to study the topic. The relationship between flexibility and international performance has been studied in this paper. Whether environmental turbulence has moderating effects on the relationship also has been discussed.Firstly the theories and the empirical study were reviewed, the conceptions, classifications and the measurements of strategic flexibility system, strategic flexibility and manufacturing flexibility were concluded, and whether environmental turbulence has a moderating effect on the relationship also has been discussed. The relationship model has been studied finally.Methods such as survey, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Structure Equation Model (SEM), Moderate Multiple Regression analysis (MMR) were applied in the paper.127 samples were collected from the industry enterprise in Chongqing, Beijing and Tianjin.The questionnaire investigations of small and large specimen are designed and implement. The reliability and the validity of the variables and testing the reliability and the validity of the variables also were tested in this paper, the hypothesis were tested after design the relationship models.The conclusions of this paper conclude: the level of strategic flexibility has positive impacts on level of international performance. The level of manufacturing flexibility has positive impacts on the level strategic flexibility. The impacts of manufacturing on the performance were not found.
