A Research On The Contribution Of Import To China's Economic Growth

For solving the problems which China is facing to during her economic growth, keeping word to the WTO and promoting the balanced development of our international trade, we have to enhance our import and make the most promotion of import to our economy. The paper first explains the main international trade theories and looks back on the existing studies and researches about import at home and abroad. Then, using the input-output tables and analysis, we get the contribution of total and departmental import to China'GDP in the year of the input-output tables. After this, the paper studies how import can promote the economic growth, and makes an analysis on China's overall and structural import, then points out the promotion of our import to our economy and the existing problems. At last, based on the above study, we give some suggestion, such as improving our import from the aspect of trade pattern, enhancing the import of energy resources goods, and strengthening our import of service trade.
