The Research On Choosing Leading Industry Of Beijing

This academic thesis chooses the choosing regional leading industry as the object of study. Drawing lessons from basic theories such as industrial economics, regional economics, and development economics as well, and basing on both domestic and foreign research fruits, the writer considers the reality of Beijing and carries out theoretical and practical analyses.Firstly, this thesis reviews the theories related to choosing leading industry, systematically sums up the research fruits of the principles and reference points of choosing regional leading industry extracted by Chinese scholars. Then it points out shortcomings of the past research on choosing regional leading industry in our country :(1)There isn't a unified cognition on the connotation and characteristic of regional leading industry, result in the overflowing of choosing criterion. Some criterion even completely deviated from the connotation and characteristic of regional leading industry, confused the concept between leading industry and the correlative industry; (2) Has ignored the research on constraint condition of choosing regional leading industry, didn't considered each place's specifically economical situation;(3) There are many qualitative research on choosing criterion of region leading industry, but quantitative research is few. Many scholars emphasized that choosing regional leading industry should have its own request and characteristic, put forward some principle on choosing regional leading industry, put forward some new concepts, but didn't further put forward the concrete criterion and norm, and because the data is unable to count, therefore some norms has lost the feasibility.Then, this thesis analyzes the concept and essential characteristics of regional leading industry. Combined the constraint condition of choosing regional leading industry, the writer offers a theoretical model which is suitable for choosing regional leading industry. The model includes three aspects (1) objective: aspect .regional leading industry choice (2) criterion aspect: Comparative advantage criterion, industrial relationship criterion, technology advancement criterion, market potential criterion (3) norm aspect: location quotient ,comparative labor productivity, Comparative fund profit and tax rate, Area's added value proportion, industrial influence coefficient, industrial sensitivity coefficient, technology advancement speed, technology progresses contribution rate, growth rate ,demand income elasticity.
