Function Of Human Capital Investment In The Livelihood Of The Peasants Without Farmland

This article researches that the peasants without farmland carry on educational human capital investment and realize vertical social generational liquidity, which have importance on sustainable livelihood. Nowadays, with the development of urbanlization and the land of peasants being requisitioned, peasants who depending on the land can not realize non—farming employment. And there are difficulties in sustenance because of the limit themselves on human resources and obstacles in external system. Now there are some measures, on one hand, releasing from the obstacles on farmers' sustenance and on social liquidity, on the other hand, training the peasants to improve their technique and ability. Objectively, although these measures have some effects, they still exist many problems. Especially the human capital investments on peasants who lost land have obvious gaps between effects and anticipation. The article regards that despite the human capital investment having importance on peasants' sustenance, it also need to be considered again about object and manners. During the practical research and investigation, we found that it is important for peasants who lost land to carry on educational human capital investment on their children, which not only increases the income and improves family sustenance, but also enhances social position through acquiring and changing career to realize social vertical liquidity and generational sustenance.
