EPC Project Management And Control System Study Of Gan Su Electric Power Design Institute

The application of project management methodology, especially system control theory, information and network technology, risk management, to the construction of electricity power projects has produced a profound impact on enterprise project management and operation. Therefore, a engineering consulting and construction enterprise's level in project management determines its survival capacity in the fast-developing and changing market.In the past few years, participants in electric power projects in Gansu province encountered significant changes in the macroeconomic markets environment with the improvement of market economic system, especially the continuous development of structural reform in financing electric power construction projects. Therefore, project management and operation became the focus in the industry of electric power construction. In fact, it has become a major topic for each electric power engineering consulting and construction enterprise to implement effective project control strategy and to achieve the comprehensive construction objective for satisfying project usage requirements.In this thesis, the theory and methods of system control and enterprise management are used. The example of the EPC project in the electric power supply system of Yuzhong Steel Company is investigated to study the setup of project control system from on the major aspects of project management and control processes. The research is based on scientific analysis of the impacts and operational patterns of the project management and control systems. Meanwhile, topics on improving the control system and adapting to the changes in the management organization and markets are discussed.A large number of references were used in the thesis. An objective of the thesis is to investigate the project management methods and directions in Gansu electric power project consulting and construction enterprises in a scientific way, and to give some recommendation for the reference of peer professionals in the electric power project consulting and construction industry.
