Analysis Of Restructuring Strategy On Overseas Business Of CREC

Main issues and necessity of merging and restructuring have been identified and summarized through analysis of general situation in the world and challenges that Chinese companies are facing. As for China railway Engineering Corporation (hereafter called CREC), SWOT has been applied to analyze the internal and external environment and Opportunity, Threat, Strength&weakness of CREC so as to establish a 3-year plan&overall strategy and comprehensive composition to better the integrity of overseas business development.The implementation of merging strategy are also illustrated herein including selection of target company, feasibility study, procedure of planning and decision-making etc. the main issues contained therein have been defined through analysis and evaluation to operating strategy in transition and restructuring period. I also summarized the strongpoint and defects of the merging strategy and implementation hereof of CREC which may provide a useful reference for other companies.
