Railway locomotive repair is one of the key elements that guarantee railway's safe running and developing. However, the internal management and external development of a railway repair enterprise does not match the transport capacity increasing day by day, which impacts and restricts the enhancing of railway transportation economy. This article takes example for Kunming Locomotive Plant of Kunming Railway Bureau, goes deep into the common matters occurred in locomotive repair enterprises, sets the repair process of production central link as core problem to analysis, hereby to relate important elements like the Plant's structure, production performance, cost control, human resources, equipment supervision to extend the fault finding. Furthermore, it addresses that the application of computer management information system in the optimized process of production center repair could check and diagnose the parts, thus to work out comprehensive measures in advance. The article further adopts the principle of business process reengineering (BPR), analyzes broadly the repair process, discusses the Plant's repair process optimization as well as the environment analysis, method making, model design, implementation procedures, and effect control of re-model, and improves the control of repair process by applying computer management information platform. Mainly on the virtual example analysis coordinated with the theory demonstration, the article presents choices for railway locomotive repair to undertake internal development for business process optimization and the renovation of enterprises, which could guide the development of the railway transportation to some extent.
