Study On The Business Process Reengineering Of Kunming Locomotive Factory

Logistics theory produced in the last century, and the supply chain management theories (SCM) is one of the new field for studying on enterprise management. Logistics is the third profit source for enterprise , good logistics management can result in reducing of the cost and gaining of a competitive edge for the enterprise.Based on a review of the logistics theory, the industry environment where Kunming Locomotive Factory lies in, the company resource and competitive capacity are analyzed in this paper under the Strategy Management theory. Be aimed at the problems liked the expensive costing, confused management discovered in the logistics system of Kunming Locomotive Factory, the basic reason of logistics problem was found after the logistics problem was analyzed with the value chain theory and business process reengineering (BPR). It was found that the logistics problem is the key factor for carrying out the company's development strategy, and the logistics system of Kunming Locomotive Factory must be reengineered. The objective, program and means for reengineering the logistics system, which is expected as a means to optimize the company logistics process, reduce the logistics cost and support the company strategy, are submitted.The work will be helpful for resolving the logistics problem of Kunming Locomotive Factory, and be also valuable for the other companies in the same industry.
