Risk Evaluation Of High-Technology Project Investment

High technology is turning out to be prominent drive for social economic development in the 21st century. With respect to this tendency, more and more enterprises are paying more attention to the high technology and taking actively part in its R&D and investment. However, the investment for high-technology project is a highly risky activity, which faces various influences including objective or subjective factors. It is possible that the project investment would be delayed, terminated, failed or failed to reach the anticipated technical &economic target for the occurrence of risking incidentals. Therefore,it is very important to evaluate the risk of the project before the investment.The paper is on the basis of analyzing the risking characteristics in the high- technology project and domestic and external research results of the methods about the risk assessment of high-technology project, mainly discusses the application of the risk matrix method in the risk assessment of the high-technology project, puts forward a series of risk indexes which is fit for our country. In the hope of offering a kind of science, rational, easy assessment method for the risk assessment of high-technology project, the paper constructs the risk matrix to be applied in the risk assessment of high- technology project, and designs the basic procedure of the risk assessment by using the risk matrix. The paper takes the mind of Boston matrix into the procedure of the risk assessment in the first time, and put forward the conception of new four kinds of risk, makes further sort and assessment on project risk through building all kinds of risk matrix.
